DNB 2018 Batch: Why Being Punished with 3 months extension due to COVID period after risking our life (Working 36 hours duties and no leaves)

Respected sir/madam.

We are DNBss student, going to complete our tenure in march 2021, got to see the video where it was stated that our tenure will get extended for a period of 3 months.

 However we would like to question the decision because 

1) December 2018 batch got an extension of 45 days when COVID was at its peak & there was a need for doctors for COVID duties 

( At that time we were made to work in the Department as well as COVID wards n ICUs)

2) June 2019 batch had no extension despite of COVID being at its peak 

( at that time we were made to work in our department as well as COVID wards & ICUs )

3) we had no such thing like an academic loss, infact we worked more than our capacities

4)we were made to work as consultants & registrars at no extra pay or no extra appreciation 

Still we are the batch being aimed for extension

5) when we dedicated ourselves, were overworked n stressed at the same time, staying away from our families for the COVID duties, n working equally in our respective department then how fair is it to extend our tenure

6) this extension will mark a set back in our careers as many of us have planned future course ( fellowships or SRships at other institutes)

7) we are as it is going to complete our tenures so why the extension

8) After working continuous 36 hours without any post duty offs and no leaves from past 3 years, this extension seems more of a punishment for being overworked, working more than the number of hrs stated, juggling between covid n department work, always being scared of contacting Covid n lying in the icu still working

9)In many hospitals, SS batch was not even posted in Covid. And what about AIIMS, their OPD was even shut off and elective OT was not working, still December batch passed with no hiccups. When the rest of the batches were leaving we were still working , keeping our families at threat each day ( whether posted in covid or departmnt) n if this is the result of our hard work then it is just simply unfair.

Hope necessary decisions are taken against the extension and is resolved to help us work peacefully without any harassment from the Unfair decision.
