Baba Ramdev in one of his sessions questioned the whole science of Allopathic modern medicine and crossed all limits by commenting "Lakhs Of People Died Due To Allopathic Medicines".
We fail to understand what problem does Baba Ramdev has with Allopathic Medicine?
The treatment philosophies may differ between indigenous systems and modern medicine. The problem from our side is not the debate of Allopathic Medicine vs Ayurvedic Medicine but his utter lack of ethics. He is blatantly misguiding the masses to promote a risky health behaviour of not seeking medical care at the right time which can lead to loss of countless more lives.
It is Allopathic modern medicine due to which countless lives are being saved and countless doctors have given their lives while fighting at the frontline between the sickest of patients not caring about their own health. And this is the most outrageous comment which actually disrespects the sacrifice of so many doctors.
I think no allopathic doctor ever would have ever attacked any Indigenous systems saying that you killed lakhs of people. That is so harsh a comment to make on the people giving their lives and keeping their own family's health at stake for treatment of critically ill patients.
Why is Ayurveda, Sidha and other Indegenous systems not stepping up to take care of critically ill patients as well? It is just because they don't have the treatment and means to treat once the body goes into disequilibrium of the disease process. Their role is mainly in prevention and very early management of only chronic diseases, they should stick to it and stop misguiding innocent people.
Because of Baba Ramdev's comments lakhs of people probably won't take vaccinations or not go to hospital when their saturation is dropping, who will be responsible for their death? He himself seeks allopathic care to save his own life. There have been many recorded instances available in public media of him seeking modern medical care.
It was only due to advances of modern medicine which have lead to the production of one of the fastest developed vaccine ever in human history to counter the COVID-19 virus.
If not for modern medical science, Babas like him would never even have understood the disease or the causative factor for COVID 19. Today he has the audacity to make such a comment that "Lakhs Of People Died Due To Allopathic Medicines".
Baba Ramdev and his team have made Ayurveda into a pure business, what used to be a benevolent science. We strongly condemn this statement and the attitude of Baba Ramdev towards modern allopathic medicine.
By making such comments he has been responsible for the death of countless cancer patients who go to baba Ramdev thinking that he will cure their cancer (personally know quite a few patients whose treatable cancer became advanced and inoperable while they were in his ashrams) and he will also be responsible for the death of countless Covid patients if following him the patients don't seek timely medical care.
